Based in the Mid-west from new in 1977 to 2003. Then a few years in Washington State, Then up to Alaska in 2017, Engine was installed in 1999. Most of the STOL Mods were installed in 2017. VERY complete logs with every mod' upgrade and STC fully documented. Useful load is 972 as it is but it is eligible for the "Fresh Pick" Gross weight increase of about 150 Lbs for around $600. This plane is basically a nose wheel 185. Same engine as a 185, same wings as a 185. The cabin is 5" inches wider than a 185. These make excellent back-country aircraft for those that do not want to fly a taildragger. To build this plane as it currently is would cost over $200,000. Buy this one already done and head out to the dirt, grass and gravel without the downtime of building it yourself. Not a commercial plane. Privately owned and personally flown in Alaska to get out to a salmon camp. Currently in Alaska. Damaged in 1987 when it got away from a prop start and rolled across a field with no-one in it and flipped over after going int a ditch. Nothing visible today. Excellent repair.
