N4697R, a 1966 Cherokee 140, is the perfect aircraft for commuting, if you're looking to get your PPL, or if you just want to fly. This plane needs nothing! The current and previous owner have spared no expense making this a safe, well maintained aircraft with frequent upgrades and improvements. For 21 years all the maintenance has been done by one of Maine's most reputable shops, Curtis Air in Pittsfield, Maine. And for the past year Premier Aero LLC, at 47N Airport. Total time is only 2980 hours with only 712.6 hour since major overhaul. The plane was stripped and painted with Imron and hangared ever since by previous owner. For the past year it's been kept outside with a canope and tail covers. For safety, a retractable shoulder harness system was installed and the wingtip ADSB makes this plane legal to fly in any class airspace. A Powerflow exhaust was installed ($5000) increasing horse power, rate of climb and cruise speed. External Auxiliary Power Port. Sun Visors. There is a LED strobe on the belly and the rotating beacon on the tail has been converted to a secondary strobe for added visibility. All of the windows are clear, almost like new. Burn avgas or the STC that comes with the aircraft, use autogas. In the panel the pretzel yokes have been upgraded to the modern style. The FS-450 fuel flow computer is accurate to tenths of a gallon. The panel includes a digital OAT, volt meter, manifold pressure, EGT, CHT, the standard 6-pack, push-button magneto switches, 2 digital comms, a King KT76C transponder, and a beveled panel for an Ipad with hard-wired power. This is a beautiful Cherokee with only a few blemishes. There are two small dents on the horizontal stabilizer. The paint on the nosebowl has some crazing. The engine compartment is dry as a bone and all the fuel lines have been fire-sleeved. Oil change done every 50 hours or less. Compression: #1: 72/80, #2: 74/80, #3: 66/80, #4: 76/80. ALL ADs complied with. Last annual Oct/2021. All log books.
Only damage history was in 1967 and minor, to a wingtip. No trades. Located at Central Jersey Airport (47N), NJ.
Selling to buy a bigger plane. Hours will change slightly as it's being flown weekly.
