Interesting History. Bought new in 1980 and lived in Eastern Los Angeles in a hangar. Flew 183 hours in the first three years, then suddenly stopped flying. Since nothing was owed and hangar rent was paid the plane sat untouched by human hands for 25 years. When we found it, there was a thick layer of dust on it and all three tires were flat. This was in 2008 and at that time we had the engine stripped to it's bare bones and everything was polished and checked and replaced as needed. The prop was overhauled. Everything made of rubber was replaced. It was annualled and flown to Placerville and professionally detailed and sold. A few years later and a after a further few hundred hours were added, it was traded to us for a Cessna 180 Taildragger with 850 Hours TT. Then we then sold it again to the next owner who has had it for 5 years or so and added further hours up to a total at the time of 461 TT. Then the current owner replaced the interior with the new leather and also the recent Garmin panel upgrade. A once in a lifetime opportunity to buy a nearly new 182 Turbo RG in 2025 for a quarter of the price of a new fixed gear and no two year waiting period.
