This airplane came to us because the owner had an issue with the nose gear shimmy on landing. Ran it off the edge of the runway and blew the nose gear doughnuts as well as getting the tip of one prop blade. We went to California, changed the nose gear and prop, dialed the crankshaft, and ferried the plane back to Morristown Tennessee. We removed the engine, and had it completely torn down. Found no issues with the engine. Put it back together and reinstalled it on the plane. We performed an annual, and had an inspection. Have been flying it for the past year. The plane performs flawlessly. 195 knots at 13 qph
